A Yemeni ring from the second half of the twentieth century. The ring is made of a base metal alloy (could include a low percentage of silver). The red bead cabochon is set in a saw-toothed bezel. This fatakh (red)  ring was thought to have protective powers for its wearer.

The shank is solid and decorated with roping and the sides have granulation. The ring is in good vintage condition.

Size 7  and weighs 6.4 g.
